The Vagabond is a personal die cut machine unlike anything you have ever seen before. It is a portable, fully electric motorized machine, makes die cutting and embossing incredibly simple. The Vagabond was designed to cut and emboss thicker materials like grungeboard, chipboard, bookboard, metal, canvas, acrylic in addition to layers of cardstock, grungepaper, and fabrics. This powerhouse not only cuts with ease, but embosses full sheets of grungeboard and chipboard without any hesitation.

Included with the Vagabond Machine is a pair of Standard Cutting Pads, as well as the Solo Platform & Shim, which make all Sizzix components compatible with the Vagabond Machine. Add a Solo Wafer-Thin Die Adapter (sold separately), and the Vagabond Machine can even work with other brands' dies and embossing tools! In addition, you can use the included sheet of stickers to customize your machine with your crafting journeys.

Vagabond and Nestabilities - From Tim Holtz:

"The Spellbinder dies are a two step process. You have to cut once and then run it through the machine again to emboss the dies. This is no different with the Vagabond; it is simply easier to operate.

So... you need to create the following sandwich (from the bottom up) to cut: Solo Platform and Shim
Extended Adapter
Clear Cutting Pad
Thin Die (facing up)
Material

In order to emboss, you need to create the following sandwich:
Solo Platform and Shim
Impressions Pad (Included with the Texturz Starter Set or sold separately on sizzix.com. Item Number 655120)
Thin Die (facing up with paper cut out left in it)
Silicone Rubber (Included in the Texturz Starter Set or sold separately on sizzix.com. Item Number 655121)
Clear Cutting Pad

Using the tan Spellbinders pads is a different thickness designed for their machine and not sizzix.
