We used Dawn Houser's "Zebra Butterfly" on Ginger Cardstock,
then overstamped using Lime Pearl Brilliance Ink.

As you can see, the Versa Mark image came out just shades darker than
the actual cardstock and it works this way on all uncoated
cardstocks. It's a quick way to create a subtle and elegant background image.

You can also create interesting shadow effects. Stamp your image
using the Versa Mark pad then stamp the image again using a
darker color ink, but align it just to the side (or wherever you want your
shadowed effect to be).

And finally, the Versa Mark pad also works as a resist pad on coated
cardstock (The Versa Mark ink "resists" or repels the ink you stamp over top).
But it's a little expensive if you only want to do the Resist Technique, in which
case, I recommend the more economical
Ranger "Resist" pads and Reinkers
(Available in Large and Standard sizes)
