This example uses a Butterfly Stampon Ginger Cardstock, then overstamped using Lime Pearl Brilliance Ink.

The Watermark images come out just shades darker than
the actual cardstock and it works this way on all uncoated cardstocks. It's a quick way to create a subtle and elegant background or tone-on-tone images.
You can also create interesting shadow effects. Stamp your image
using a Watermark pad then stamp the image again using a
darker color ink, but align it just to the side (or wherever you want your
shadowed effect to be).
Watermark inks also works as a resist pad on coated
cardstock (The ink "resists" or repels the ink you stamp over top).
You can also useRanger "Resist" pads and Reinkers for this technique (Available in Large and Standard sizes)
